Favorite antagonist...

currently, I am sitting on the couch in my living room next to my 16 year old sister who is crying her eyes out as she reads 'The fault in our stars' by John Green. she's almost finished with it and I'm almost sure that she will be reduced to a ball of uncontrollable tears by the last page.
what am I doing? I'm listening to music and trying to get homework done... yeah it's going as well as it usually does..
good news, I was right, my sister was reduced to tears and can't make complete sentences through her  tears.
ANYWAY! onto the reason behind the post...

from a young age, my all time favorite book series was Sherlock Holmes. my favorite villain of all time was Professor James Moriarty. The best version of Moriarty to me comes from Andrew Scott's portrayal of Moriarty on BBC's Sherlock.

Andrew Scott has all these quirky little mannerisms that make Moriarty that much more disturbing and crazy.
Moriarty. is. a. crazy. little. man.
no really, he is a psycho... also he has no control over his expressions.
<---Look at him, what self respecting psychopath mimics someone like this?

Despite the completely insane side of Moriarty that he encompasses so well, he also makes you be able to relate to the more human side of Moriarty...

well, if you can find one that is. I've come to figure out that not everyone is in touch with their inner psychopath.
(although we all know a couple people that are TOO in touch with their inner psychopath...)

Oh and he stole the crown jewels...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vwoPSdtFqHg
He doesn't and you can tell by the look on his face. smug little crazy man .What villain that you know dances around while he so nonchalantly steals the crown jewels...

A/N: i know Sherlock Holmes is British but....I couldn't help but make a post about Moriarty's craziness...

  1. Wow, I never expected a personal attack on my inability to hide my inner psychopath. ;) haha I love quirky characters and your obsession with Sherlock (not only the Robert Downey Jr./Jude Law big screen kind-because we know the underlying reason why we watch those), but the witty history of your literary life is obvious in your present character. Follow along, folks. This girl is quiet but if you carefully study what she is saying you will be laughing your tails off in the end.

Sherlock Holmes is perhaps the most important Literary character I was ever introduced to...besides the glaring continunity issues Sir Conan Doyle had.
