First posts are always awkward....
My mom Encouraged reading when I was younger. It gave me something to focus on and in later years provided a welcomed escape from the early teen years (oh early teen years..how I don't miss you.). Some of my favorites from when I was young consist of Steven King and Dean Koontz. As i got older I turned towards the realm of comics (or manga ) and graphic novels. Matsuri Hino's Vampire Knight remains a favorite of all the Manga read. Stan Lee and the people at Marvel never cease to amuse with the comics they continue to churn out.
Since high school I've been more into writing rather than reading though. While I enjoy both, writing is my main hobby along with doing character art.
